Welcome to Mrs. Clinton's Home Page
I began my teaching career in special education in the fall of 1999 at Walkertown MS. After four years, I transferred to Griffith ES where I served as the exceptional children's resource teacher for six years. Now, I am proud to be a part of the Petree Staff. As a resource teacher, I teach reading, writing, and math. My philosophy is that "all" children can learn. My goal is to help them find their own unique way of learning. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English from High Point University. I completed my course work for special education at Winston-Salem State University. Sunny days, happy children and butterflies make me smile.
Students should read for pleasure at least 20 minutes, 3 - 4 nights per week. Research showes that the more a child reads, the better the child reads. If a child is not able to read on his/her grade level, allow the child to read lower level books and build up.
Have a safe and happy summer!!
