    Welcome to Mrs. Bailey's 4th/5th Grade Class
     
     
     
     
    Well, we are off to a great start this school year!  Students have been working very hard.  We are building relationships and adjusting to the new routine very well.  There are a lot of fun events in store during the fall season.  Please refer to my calendar page for specific dates and times.
     
    Throughout the school year, I will do my best to post updates and calendar events here on the page.  Below you will find some reminders.  As we progress through the year, if you have questions or concerns about homework or anything at all, please let me know.  I can be contacted by email, which is listed below, or by the school phone (703-6789).  Please understand that during instructional time I cannot always stop to take a phone call, so the office will usually ask you to leave a voicemail.  There are many days when I am only able to check email once a day, and it may not be until the end of the day, so keep that in mind as well.  Be assured that I will return your call or email as soon as I am able.
     
    *A Few Reminders*
    *Please remember to look at your child's planner each night for assigments.  Many times our spelling assignments are the same, but not always, especially if I feel that there are other practice activities that may better benefit certain students.  
    *Also, please remember to help your student study their spelling words in addition to completing the homework each night.  
    *Please remember to sign your child's take-home reader each night and to listen to your child read.
    *Please remember to sign and return your child's "Weekly Update" each week.  I usually send these on Monday for the previous week.
      
    Please remember to check the calendar, as I will try to keep it updated as best I can.  Also be sure to check my documents page for the letter I sent home regarding specials and the 12 day rotation.  Please remember to check parent portal regularly to stay up to date on your student's grades and contact me at school or by email if you have concerns or questions.  We will send home more information about parent portal to let you know when it is up and running and how it can be accessed.
