Science is defined as the observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena.
It helps you understand the workings of the world around you and why things behave the way they do.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are considered fundamental pathways for a successful career in today's ever changing world

    Welcome to Middle College Science.
This site contains several pages of introductory information, a brief personal summary, essential science class information, and course outlines for each science class.  In addition there are a few video links for new students to view and selected lessons which can help with some of the more challenging science topics.  Stop by to say hello or send me an email with any questions.
Thanks and have a great year!

    Biographical Summary:

Mr. Pazdernik is a native of Wisconsin and received his undergraduate degree in Life Science, a second undergraduate degree in Natural Science, followed by a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Wisconsin.   He began his professional career as a teacher and taught high school science courses for six years before moving into a Research and Development position with Kimberly-Clark Corporation.  During his tenure at K-C, Patrick relocated to London, England, to lead R&D efforts for Western Europe, Scandinavia, and the Middle East.  More recently he was transferred to Seattle, WA, to initiate a global business development team for customers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Canada, and Europe. His work in technology transfer, product development, and R&D leadership has been able to bring real life experiences into the classroom.

In 1995 Patrick was back in the classroom as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh teaching a graduate level MBA course.  This began his return to teaching and since moving to North Carolina from Seattle, he has coached at Bishop McGuinness High School prior to his current position at Middle College.  His unique combination of global business experience and instructional expertise has helped him bring new life into the classroom.

Pat has served as the finance chair on the Neenah Board of Education and led the curriculum development committee for Neenah Public Schools.   He has been awarded five U.S. patents for product innovations and selected as the teacher of the year at Middle College.  In his free time he does volunteer work for charitable organizations and participates in 5K road runs.
