Sherwood Forest’s 2nd Annual Kids Give Back Week
    was a HUGE success!

    Our students and families donated:
    492 Food items
    1,115 books
    177 coats/winter gear
    Thanksgiving Cards for senior citizens

Your generosity has allowed us to provide Thanksgiving food boxes for families in our community and to help stock the pantries of Sherwood Shares, Jefferson Middle School Food Pantry and the WSFCS Social Work Food Pantry this week. We received some additional food donations on Friday that our next door neighbor, Epiphany Lutheran Church, will be able to use for their local outreach programs, including Ibraham Elementary School.

Teachers at Sherwood have enjoyed the opportunity to add new book titles to their classroom libraries and share the donated books with students. Additionally, PTA volunteers were able to deliver hundreds of books to Kimberly Park Elementary, where these books will be used in classrooms and homes across Winston Salem.

Thanks to our students and families, 177 kids in Forsyth County will have a warm coat to wear this winter and many senior citizens will receive a sweet Thanksgiving card when their Meals on Wheels food is delivered next week.

THANK YOU to each and everyone who participated this year—our neighbors and families in our community are directly benefitting from your generosity!

    Welcome to the

    Sherwood Forest Elementary PTA!

On behalf of the PTA, I would like to welcome you to Sherwood Forest. The teachers and staff have worked hard to prepare for a safe return to in-person learning. The PTA is excited to partner with our teachers and families to enrich the learning experience for our students. We need the support of parents and volunteers to keep SFES a school of excellence. We invite you to join the PTA and register to become a volunteer. Check the Scoop for opportunities to become involved throughout the year.
