Have a great summer!
My name is Barry Hill and this will be my fifth year at South Fork. I am very excited about being your child's teacher. I am married and have a step-son and a daughter. I'm sure the children will hear me use them as examples or tell stories about them throughout the year.
South Fork has adopted the program called PBiS, which sets expectations for every area of the school (hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, buses, car riders, and the classroom). Each student is to learn what P.R.I.D.E. means and what it looks like in each one of those areas. We will work together daily to know each of the expections. Please use the small blue books you received at open house to look over the expectations with your child each night.
If you have any questions, the best way to reach me is before and after shool. While the children are in specials, myself and the other third grade teachers will have a planning period and I will also be available for phone calls or conferences at that time. Please arrange a time for parent-teacher conferences ahead of time as I may have meetings or other after school activities that I am involved in.
This is going to be a great year and I hope your child is as excited as I am about learning and what is to come!
