    Personal Stuff:

So, some stuff about me. I was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and did my undergraduate work at Otterbein College in Columbus, Ohio. I earned my Master's Degree from the University of Maryland and lived for a number of years in Maryland, moving to North Carolina in 2001.  My husband and I have been married for 30-some years and have three children: Caitlin (a 2006 graduate of UNC School of the Arts, a 2010 graduate of UNCC with a BSN, a 2013 graduate of UNCC with a MSN), Douglas (a 2009 Glenn graduate and a 2015 graduate of ASU with a BS in Recreation Management) and Maggie (a 2012 Glenn graduate and a 2015 graduate of Gardner-Webb University with an BSN).  We also have three crazy dogs: Piper, Shiloh, and Sadie!

I love to travel. This summer my husband and I spent six weeks traveling throughout the West and saw places I've only dreamed of before. We also went to Italy for two weeks in the summer of 2011-it was amazing. In March 2013, we spent time in Paris, France. During spring break 2015, we took a group of Glenn students to Athens, Greece and this past spring break we took another group of Glenn students to London and Paris.   I also enjoy backpacking and camping. I like to exercise and mostly run or swim. I totally love reading-l like popular fiction, fantasy lit, historical novels, mysteries, and classical stuff, too. And music is extremely important to me. I sing and listen to music all the time.

This is my fifteenth year of teaching English at Glenn. I believe Glenn is a wonderful school with great students, and I wouldn’t want to teach anywhere else. I think the most important aspect of studying English is what you learn about yourself and about life. I’m looking forward to what we can learn together this year.
