Dear Whitaker Families,
It is with great pride and excitement that I accepted the Whitaker Elementary Principalship.
For the past thirteen years, I have served as the principal at Old Richmond Elementary School. Prior to this, I served as the assistant principal at Jefferson Elementary School. I also worked at Walkertown ES, Atkins MS, and Mineral Springs MS. During this time period, I served as a principal, assistant principal, school counselor, teacher, athletic director, and basketball coach.
I received my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State (Social Science Education). I hold two masters’ degrees from East Carolina University, one in Educational Leadership and the second one in School Counseling. This current school year is my thirtieth year of service in Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. I love working with people, particularly students, teachers, and families. I grew up in Winston-Salem and love attending Wake Forest football and basketball games. Oh, and I enjoy telling riddles; some are better than others.
Having said that, here are two. I hope you enjoy them.
