My name is Lindsay Mikesell, and I am so happy to be a member of the Whitaker family! This is my 7th year at Whitaker. I love our community's commitment to our students' education, and I am proud to be an Eagle. I completed my undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University, and in 2009, I completed my masters degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to serving at Whitaker, I served as assistant principal at Ashley Elementary for 2 years and taught English and Spanish at various schools in Guilford County and Michigan. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family which includes my husband, Eric, my daughter, Alison and our 2 dogs. We love going to the zoo, to parks and to the pool. I also love to crochet, read, and listen to music. I think the best thing about being a mom is watching "from the ground up" how a child learns; it's amazing. Please feel free to contact me for questions about field trips, transportation, discipline, breakfast and lunch balances, volunteering, etc. I am always willing to help, and I will direct you to the person who can best help if I am unable to.
