Dr. Stephanie Sanders

    Frank Morgan Elementary Principal

I am extremely honored to be the Principal at Frank Morgan Elementary School! I have worked in many facets of education for over 20 years. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a B.S. in Child Development and Family Studies. I then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I earned a Master of Education in their BK-ISED program. I further added on to my M.Ed. with a license in School Administration from Appalachian State University. I completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at High Point University in May of 2019.

I began my educational career as a Director of an Early Childhood Development Center and then decided to further my career in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School District. I have served as a classroom teacher (South Fork Elementary), Curriculum Coach at the school (South Fork & Forest Park ES) and district level. I aslo spent time out of the school system working for a publishing company, McGraw-Hill Education, for 3 years working nationally with districts to find effective solutions for supporting their general education and intervention needs. In 2016, I returned to WS/FCS as the Assistant Principal at Mineral Springs ES and remained there for 2 years before earning my first principalship at Elizabeth Hanford-Dole Elementary School in Rowan-Salisbury Schools.

I am a Davidson County resident and graduated as a Black Knight from North Davidson Sr. High some moons ago! I am a diehard Carolina Tarheel fan and believe if I was cut, I would bleed BLUE! In my spare time I enjoy spending time traveling with my family, in particular my son who is a football, track and basketball student athlete. I also find it relaxing to visit the beach and the mountains. Oftentimes, I can be found reading a good book involving a mystery, leadership, building relationships or how to positive school climate/culture. I am extremely dedicated to building the capacity of others and ensuring that students have what they need to learn and grow in the school environment each and every day! I am looking forward to this new year and hope that you will take the time to introduce yourself when you're in the office!
