    Dual Language Program

    My name is Gloria Patricia Gamboa. I am an exchange visitor teacher from Colombia. I have eight years of experience in the field of teaching children both in formal and non-formal education contexts. This year your children will have an opportunity to experience an immersion environment in Spanish. In addition to mastering the basic skills expected of students in kindergarten, your children will get a head start in becoming bilingual individuals. Their process of acquisition of the second language will be enhanced by the activities proposed, content teaching and the everyday interaction among students who have either Spanish or English as their first language.

    Mi nombre es Gloria Patricia Gamboa. Soy una maestra de intercambio de Colombia. Tengo ocho años de experiencia en la enseñanza a niños en contextos educativos formales e informales. Este año sus hijos e hijas tendrán la oportunidad de experimentar un ambiente de inmersión en español. Además de dominar las habilidades básicas que se espera de los estudiantes de Kinder, sus hijos llevarán la delantera en el camino de convertirse en individuos bilingües. Su proceso de adquisición de la segunda lengua será estimulado por las actividades propuestas, la enseñanza de contenido y la interacción cotidiana entre estudiantes para quienes su primera lengua es el inglés o el español.
