Students, please use your school email (@wsfcsstudents.net) for all electronic communication with me.
Greetings. You are currently perusing the Internet's premier resource for all things involving my classes here at West. On this site you can find a wealth of information ranging from course syllabi, relevant classroom documents, and homework assignments.  Please feel free to contact me through any of the above ways.
For daily assignments and homework, navigate to the left side of this page and direct yourself to a particular class.
As you can see, each class has its own portal. All items specific to the class can be found under these pages, also found on the left side of this page. You can find more general policies of my class below (also found on each syllabus).
Here in the English Department at West, we abide by the following grading scale across all classes:
    100-90         A
    89-80            B
    79-70           C
    69-60           D
    Below 59     F
    Classroom Expectations

The expectations for students in this course are simple:

    -          Be respectful to all members of our class community and the learning environment. Consider the social sphere of the classroom as a kind of Social Contract (http://http://www.iep.utm.edu/soc-cont/) that seeks to balance competing interests in the spirit of mutual cooperation for your educational gains.

    -          Come to class prepared and on time.

    -          Raise your hand if you would like to speak.

    -          Be awake, alert, and engaged in class.
Students who are absent are responsible to take the initiative to make up missed work by contacting the teacher as soon as possible. All missed quizzes or tests must be made up the first day the student returns to school. If work is not returned during the appropriate time period, the student will receive a failing grade. Assignments will be posted on my website. It is the student’s responsibility to check it and complete the assignment.
