VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Every parent, guardian, family member or member of the community planning on volunteering in any WS/FCS school must submit an application to be approved by the school system. This includes, but is not limited to, any volunteering done on school campus (class parties, proctoring, tutoring, Field Day, assisting specialists, etc.) or chaperoning field trips. To gain approval, all volunteers must complete an on-line application, even if you registered in years past. I’ve included instructions below on how to register.
-
REGISTERING AS A VOLUNTEER:
1. Go to: www.wsfcsvolunteers.com
2. Click on the “New Volunteer? Click Here to Register.” link.
3. Fill in ALL fields and select at least one activity you plan on participating in at the school.
Note: The school system has two levels of volunteers, Supervised (formerly Level 1 volunteer) and Unsupervised (formerly Level 2 volunteer). Supervised volunteers include the first list of activities (class volunteer, PTA Fundraising) where you are working with children in the presence of a teacher. Unsupervised volunteers require a criminal background check. These are listed in the second set of activities (ALL field trips, One-on-one mentoring).
4. Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
