American History 1 - Standard
American History 1 is offered at the standard and honors levels. This course examines European exploration through Reconstruction. Students will look at events through political, intellectual, economic, and religious lenses. The examination of American culture should aid students in developing critical thinking skills and becoming informed, active citizens. Students will be assessed through test, homework, classwork, and state test at the end of the year. It must be noted the state test counts for 20% of the student's final grade.
