Students enrolled in this course have either successfully completed the Level I and II courses at the middle or high school or have placed out of Levels I and II due to previous language study and/or established proficiency. This course focuses on advanced grammar skills in Latin. It also introduces the study of literature and emphasizes the process of reading authentic texts. Students continue to refine their knowledge and understanding of the Roman and their own culture by examining the interrelationship of these cultures and applying their knowledge and skills inside and outside the classroom setting. Students will travel with Jason as he and the Argonauts seek the Golden Fleece. Students will also follow Cicero as he unveils a plot to overthrow the Roman government. Integration of other disciplines, with special emphasis on English Language Arts, is ongoing throughout the course.
