Welcome to Pre-calculus! We are looking forward to an exciting math experience as we venture into an advanced study of functions and their end behaviors. This course is rigorous and is built upon the foundations of advanced algebra and geometry. Pre-calculus provides an in depth study and application of the topic of trigonometry. Preparation for the study of calculus is given by providing insight and understanding of the concept of limits along with a preview of the two main problems in calculus, namely, The Tangent Line Problem and The Area Problem. This course provides the following assessments: quizzes, chapter tests, formative assessments, Mid-Term Exam, and a Final Exam. There will be projects assigned during this course, each counting as a Test grade.
