Formed in 1952, The Children’s Center has a history of providing customized care based on students' individual needs. A 5-star licensed facility, The Children's Center is a partnership between the Centers for Exception Children and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. The Centers for Exceptional Children provide inclusion classes for infants through age 5. The WS/FCS classes range from preschool (age 3) through grade 5. These classes partcipate in weekly specials, including Art, Media, Music, P.E, and Social/Emotional Learning. Assemblies and field trips help to round out the complete educational experience, equitably supporting each child in reaching their highest potential.
