Cook Literacy Model School's media center is named for Mr. Logan Burke, a Winston-Salem educator, state house representative, and former principal of our school when it was called L.A. Cook Elementary School.

Students at Cook Literacy Model school attend media classes once per week, where they participate in a curriculum focused on inquiry, project based learning, and STEAM and literacy integration. Additionally, students in grades 1-5 gain experience in coding and robotics through the media center curriculum.
