Welcome back to another school year at Hanes Magnet School! I hope you will have a great year!
 
I really enjoy working with the students at Hanes Magnet School. I have been a school counselor and mathematics teacher for over twenty years, working at the middle school level, high school level, and college level. I have a B.A. in Secondary Education/Mathematics from Clemson University (go Tigers!) and a Master's Degree in Secondary School Counseling from the University of South Carolina.

My husband and I have two wonderful adult daughters and a 14-pound dog, Charlie! Our older daughter is beginning the Physician Assistant graduate program at Wake Forest University this spring, and our younger daughter is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill studying Exercise and Sport Science. Both girls attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade! I love spending time with family & friends, spending time outdoors, and traveling whenever possible.

I work specifically with the 8th grade; however, I am here to help ALL students with social/emotional, academic, and career needs.
