Meet Mrs. Wright
Who is Counselor Wright?

Greetings to all, my name is Mrs. Wright. I was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Education, as well as a graduate of Salem College with a Masters of Education in School Counseling. I have been married for 21 years to my college sweetheart and we have two wonderful kids together. I have worked for the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School district for 14 years as a K/1 Teacher and will be entering my 19th year with the district.
Currently, this will be my 6th year as a school counselor at Kimmel Farm Elementary. As a school counselor, I believe that the comprehensive school counseling program is truly designed to promote growth in all scholars academically, career-based, and socially-emotionally. It is important that, through this model, I am able to empower scholars in order to help them recognize their own uniqueness and personal worth in a respectful learning environment.
As a school counselor, it is my hope and dream that I will serve scholars in a way that provides direction and support as well as equip them with the necessary social skills in order to live a productive life in society.
Mrs. Shiketa Wright, MEd.
