BOB is a club of 6th - 8th grade students that compete in the district-level Battle of the Books Competition in March. Mrs. Winfrey and Ms Schaefer moderate the group. Students are assigned novels to read from a list of about 20 books selected by NCSLMA. At the competition, they are challenged to recall important facts and details about the books. 

 The purpose of the Battle of the Books program is to encourage reading by all students at the middle school level. Students, regardless of ability, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints by prominent authors in the area of young adult literature.
