Greetings Lowrance family,

I am Evette C. Clemons, and I bring you greetings as the proud principal of the Lowrance school.  I am honored to lead such a magnificent place where our mission is to provide all students with the resources needed to meet their maximum potential; emotionally, physically and academically.

I received my education from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  The 2024 school year marks my 27th year in education.  The foundation of my career is grounded in the Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools where I have served at various locations such as Reynolds High School, The Downtown School, and Mount Tabor High School.

You will not see me without a smile on my face or a pep in my step as I lead by placing students first both in my words and actions.  They say, “Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”   I have found my new home in Lowrance with your students and I truly love what I do.

I enjoy the simple things in life like eating ice-cream, reading a book in my hammock, and visiting an antique store.  I intentionally stop to smell the roses to enjoy the beauty of everyday life.  My husband Charlie, son Chandler and daughter Chelsea are my heroes.  My family indulges me by allowing me to pick the family movie on movie night and I choose Beauty and the Beast every time.

Remember to always be yourself unless you can be a polar bear then always be a polar bear.
