Northwest Middle School    

In the spring of 2017, Northwest Middle School, along with two other middle schools in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, was chosen as a part of Cohort 5 to receive a Verizon Digital Promise Initiative. This transforming initiative has been providing students with the technology and skills to succeed in the digital world since 2014. In September 2021, our school opened a Verizon Innovative Learning Lab with a grant through Heart of America, Verizon, and Arizona State University. Teachers and students are supported by lab facilitators to create, plan and participate in the following areas: Immersive Media, Digital Products and Innovation, 3D printing, Robotics, Coding, and Artificial Intelligence.
