FC13 Counseling and Mental Health I HN - This course is designed to introduce students to the counseling and mental health field through understanding how to create healthy, respectful, and caring relationships across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on understanding mental health, family and friend dynamics, effective communication, and healthy intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships.

 FC14 Counseling and Mental Health II HN - Students in this course will gain a deeper understanding of the counseling and mental health field and factors that affect mental health. Emphasis is placed on understanding the human brain and psyche, theories of development, mental disorders, treatment options, and teen violence issues. Activities engage students in exploring various counseling and mental health careers, while building essential life literacy skills they can apply in their own lives to achieve optimal well-being. FN41 Food and Nutrition I HN - Emphasizes the relationship of diet to health and the selection of foods to satisfy needs. Learn to use and care for the kitchen while learning to prepare, store and serve a variety of foods.

FN42 Food and Nutrition II HN - This course focuses on advanced food preparation techniques while applying nutrition, food science and test kitchen concepts using modern technology. Students take the exam for a nationally recognized food safety credential. Prerequisite: FN41 Food and Nutrition I 

FN41 and FN42 Food and Nutrition I and II HN are transitioning to a new course name: Nutrition and Wellness I and II HN with the same course number.
