Welcome!

My name Sherry Atherton and I have been with WS/FCS since 2007 as a School Psychologist. I am a mother of 3 biological children and 2 step-children, one who has special needs. All are adults now. Being a school professional and a parent has taught me there are always multiple sides to every story/event and even that may not enlighten you. I have sat on both sides of the table and it is not easy. 

I received my education in Southern California, which is where I am originally from. I began my school career working toward certification as  a reserve officer and gaining many education credits in Criminal Justice. I later focused on Psychology with an emphasis on child development and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then continued my education and received my Masters Degree in Educational Counseling and Guidance (School Guidance Counselor). I later returned to college and completed my specialist degree as a School Psychologist.

I am part of the student services team and consult with various school staff. I offer guidance on intervention, collecting data, and assessment.I am a member of our crisis team.

I truly love collaborating with all our children, parents, and the school community.
