• RJR teammates celebrating winning goal

     

    The RJR boys soccer team ended the season as the #2 ranked 4-A team in the State.  They lost in the championship game 2-0.     In the State semi-finals, Reynolds beat N.W. Guilford 2-1.  This was their last home game of the year...since the State championship game will be played at WakeMed Soccer Park's Koka Booth Stadium (in Wake County).  To see an article in the local newspaper about this exciting game (which includes a bunch of pictures), click here ( * ).

    In the finals of the Western N.C 4-A tournament,  they defeated the team (South Mecklenburg) that beat RJR in the State playoffs last year: 2-0. To see an article in the local newspaper that tells about this game:  click here ( * ).

    Also, The Reynolds team was undefeated in conference play!  On Monday night (October 28th), RJR defeated Glenn High School 3-1.  This victory insured that Reynolds was the Central Piedmont 4-A Conference champion!   To see more pictures from this match, and to read an article in the local newspaper about it, click here ( * )
