We offer health insurance through BCBS of North America. Plan options are available at a minimal charge to permanent, full-time employees. Family coverage is available for purchase. Permanent part-time employees may purchase health benefits for themselves and/or their family members.
We offer dental insurance through Ameritas. It is available at no charge to permanent, full-time employees with family coverage available for purchase. Permanent part-time employees may purchase dental benefits for themselves and/or their family members.
Basic term life coverage is given to all full-time employers at the employers' cost. Family coverage is available for purchase.
All permanent full-time employees are members of the retirement plan. As such 6% of your base salary is deducted pretax from each paycheck to be invested. It is a mandatory deduction and eligible employees cannot opt out. The IRS does not allow loans or early withdrawals from the TSERS pension plan. An employee must have five years of actual work time to become vested in the system and eligible for a retirement benefit. At this time, a retirement benefit includes a monthly payment for the rest of your life, and retirement health benefits if you meet certain criteria.

Optional benefits are offered during open enrollment each fall. These include health and flex spending accounts, vision insurance, and disability insurance to name a few.
