Did you know that NC law requires Kindergarten Health Assessments for ALL students entering Kindergarten?
New students in NC public schools, including kindergarteners, must be up-to-date with their immunizations and have a NC Health Assessment Transmittal Form on file with the school before the 30th school day each fall. Those students who do not meet those requirements are suspended due to noncompliance. We don't want that to happen to any of our little Bees!
The School Health Alliance has provide flyers and information about the NC Health Assessment Transmittal Form and immunization requirements in both in English and Spanish.
Kindergarten Health Assessments and Well-Check Visits for school-aged children are available:
• Immunizations are available at the Health Department (703-3100).
• July 1-Oct. 13, 2017 @ the Bulldog Health Center at Mineral Springs (including immunizations) Call Karen Virga, RN, at 336-703-4273 to schedule an appointment or get more information.
• On the Mobile Health Clinic – scheduled for August 8th at Speas Global from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
