WS/FCS Board of Education Met Thursday, Dec. 13

DECEMBER 13, 2018 - Due to the impact of the recent winter storm, the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2018 was held on Thursday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m. inside the auditorium of the Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem.  

The first order of business was the WS/FCS Board of Education Oath of Office given to the newly elected board by Senior Resident Superior Court Judge L. Todd Burke.  

Andrea Bramer, Barbara Burke, Lida Calvert-Hayes, Lori Goins Clark, Leah Crowley, Dana Caudill Jones, Deanna Kaplan, Elisabeth Motsinger, and Malishai Woodbury make up the new board. Malishai Woodbury was elected Chair and Barbara Burke was elected Vice Chair.

The board amended the agenda and removed consideration of the TNTP Professional Development Contract. This action was tabled until a later meeting.

  • Consent Agenda Items- Meeting Minutes for November 27, 2018 & General Personnel Report

This was the last meeting of 2018. Due to the winter break, there is no meeting scheduled on December 25, 2018. The next regularly scheduled WS/FCS Board of Education Meeting will be on Jan. 8, 2019.
