December 6, 2019 - The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education has announced it's December meeting schedule which includes a specially called meeting and a Legislative Delegation Breakfast.
The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 a part of its regular schedule. The board will meet in open session in the auditorium of the Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem. An agenda and supporting materials can be found via this link.
A meeting of the board’s finance committee at 4:00 p.m. and the building and grounds committee at 4:30 p.m., both inside room 223 of the Education Building, will precede the regular board meeting. Those agendas can be found on the individual committee's webpages.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, the Board will host a Legislative Delegation Breakfast. Members of the local Legislative Delegation have been invited to an informal breakfast to discuss some of the Board’s Legislative Priorities. The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. in room 219 of the Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem. No action is expected.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, the Board of Education is calling a special meeting to discuss and give approval to Board Norms, the 2020-2021 meeting calendar and Policy 9000, Board of Education bylaws. That meeting will take place at 5 p.m. inside the auditorium of the Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem, immediately following the regularly scheduled meeting of the curriculum committee. The curriculum committee will meet inside room 223 also in the Education Building at 4 p.m.
