WS/FCS Offers Updated Fourth Quarter and Final Grading Information

May 11, 2020 -  Based on the continued guidance provided by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, below are the updated guidelines WS/FCS will follow for fourth quarter and final grades for grades K -12:

 Elementary- grades K-5

  • Narrative report cards listing your child’s strengths and areas of growth will be issued for final report card. Although, numeric fourth quarter grades will not be listed on the report card, grades for eLearning can be viewed in PowerSchool for students in grades 3-5. For K-2 students, standards-based grades for fourth quarter will not be issued.

 Middle School- grades 6-8

  • Final report cards will include a Pass or Withdraw (PC19/WC19) and narrative comments. To keep track of your child’s eLearning assignments, parents can click on the numeric grade in PowerSchool to view individual grades as well missing or incomplete assignments. “Pass” awards credit for the course whereas “Withdraw” does not.
