WS/FCS Board of Education to Meet Tuesday, Sept. 22

September 18, 2020 - The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, as part of its regular meeting schedule. The board will meet in open session at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem. 

The auditorium will be open to a limited audience per Governor Cooper’s Executive Order. Doors to the Education Building will open at 5:30 p.m.  All individuals wishing to attend will be required to submit to a symptom and temperature screening upon arrival and must wear face coverings and observe social distancing for the duration of the meeting.  There will be overflow seating space available for people to watch the meeting live broadcast in Room 219 and 223 of the WS/FCS Education Building.  As always, the meeting will be available for viewing on WS/FCS Cable2 (Spectrum viewers) or a link to the live broadcast can be found on the WS/FCS Cable2 webpage.

*Special Note: As per usual Board of Education procedure for in person meetings, anyone wanting to comment during the public comment periods must sign up in person, the night of the meeting.  Doors open and sign up begins at 5:30 p.m.  The sign up period for Comments on Agenda Items ends at the start of the meeting (6:30 p.m.) and the sign up period for Meeting Open to the Public (comment period at end of meeting on non-agenda items) ends when the Board begins its Action Items.  Comment sign up is located at the front desk in the lobby of the WS/FCS Education Building.  There is not an option for "virtual" comments during an in person meeting.
