Masonry Students Shine at SkillsUSA Competition

John F. Kennedy High School Construction & Design Academy students competed in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition in Wilkesboro on February 28th. Students, led by instructor Dean Bagnoni, the NC Home Builder's Teacher of the Year, competed in the SkillsUSA Masonry Division. Masonry students from across North Carolina were selected to compete in these regional qualifiers for a spot to compete in the national competition. John F. Kennedy students shined during Monday's regional qualifier:

1st Place: Jimmy Olmedo Garcia (Masonry 1)

3rd Place: Gabriel Burton (Masonry 2)

7th Place: Luis Castro-Trinidad (Masonry 1)

8th Place: Jose Gonzalez-Mendez (Masonry 1)
