Duke Energy Energy Presentation

Wiley 6th graders were treated to a special presentation today by Duke Energy and The National Theatre for Children.  Actors David and Nate put on a lively and engaging show, calling on student actors to help them talk about power, energy, and conservation!

Energy comes from all sorts of natural resources - renewable and non-renewable!  Resources like natural gas and coal are non-renewable resources.  Resources like water, sunlight, and trees are renewable.

Electricity is measured on electric bills in Kilowatt Hours.  Ten 100 Watt lightbulbs that are on for 1 hour would use 1 Kilowatt hour of energy.
