Prioritizing Politeness

As children are exposed to the internet at an earlier age, as well as some of the negativity that comes with it, one school is taking steps to make sure kids maintain a positive and polite attitude toward others.

Moore Magnet Elementary School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is prioritizing lessons of politeness to its nearly 600 students. Principal Adam Dovico says having face-to-face interactions are important, and stresses the fact that small acts of politeness, such as a handshake or a greeting, can go a long way.

Dovico and his fellow teachers hope students take the lessons to heart and use what they've learned throughout their lives.
