My name is Mrs. Jackson and I’m thrilled to be joining the wonderful staff at Sedge Garden. I grew up in a small rural town in Virginia. For as long as I can remember, I have loved working with and being around children. I was the neighborhood babysitter and almost every job I’ve had has involved caring for children. From teaching at summer camps to working summers in daycare. I earned my teaching degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I stayed in the area and began working for Guilford County Schools. I have been teaching for 24 years. I taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade at Wiley Elementary in Greensboro for eight years. For the past sixteen years, I taught 2nd grade at Shadybrook Elementary in High Point. My husband and I live in Kernersville with our five-year-old daughter, Kate. She will be joining me at Sedge Garden this year. She’s excited about starting Kindergarten. We recently added a new addition to our family, a 7-month-old Goldendoodle named Allie. I’m looking forward to an awesome year in third grade!
