RJR's Mens Soccer Team Still Ranked #1 in the State

The RJR boys soccer team was ranked #1 in the State when the State playoffs began, to see which team would be the 4-A State champion!  RJ Reynolds will now be playing in the Championship game...to determine what team is the the 4-A State Champion!

In the State semi-finals, they beat N.W. Guilford 2-1.  This was their last home game of the year...since the State championship game will be played at WakeMed Soccer Park's Koka Booth Stadium (in Wake County).  To see an article in the local newspaper about this exciting game (which includes a bunch of pictures).

In the finals of the Western N.C 4-A tournament,  they defeated the team (South Mecklenburg) that beat RJR in the State playoffs last year: 2-0. To see an article in the local newspaper that tells about this game.

Also, The Reynolds team was undefeated in conference play!  On Monday night (October 28th), RJR defeated Glenn High School 3-1.  This victory insured that Reynolds was the Central Piedmont 4-A Conference champion!   To see more pictures from this match, and to read an article in the local newspaper about it.
