Message from Mrs. Walker Principal of Walkertown High School...

September 18, 2017

The PSAT is being offered to sophomores and juniors who are enrolled in Math 2 or higher.  The cost of the PSAT is $16. Students interested in taking the PSAT should see Mrs. Jennifer Linville in the Main Office to register.  Students should register by October 2.

The Walkertown High School Athletic Boosters will host the 2nd annual 5K Color Run/Walk on Saturday, October 14, at 10:30 am. EARLY REGISTRATION ENDS SEPTEMBER 29!!! Sign up now to get your color packets, tee shirt and race bib!! These items will not be included for registrations after 9/29!!!  Please see our school website for more information.

September 11, 2017

  • This week is Spirit Week for the Wolfpack.  Each day we ask our students to show their school spirit by dressing in attire that displays their Wolfpack pride.  The themes are as follows:

    • Monday- U Gear (College Wear)

    • Tuesday- Opposite Day

    • Wednesday-  Wolfpack Workout Day

    • Thursday- Ohana Day (Hawaiian theme)

    • Friday- America

  • Homecoming activities will conclude on Friday with a tailgate at the end of the school day and the announcement of our Homecoming Queen at the football game.   We look forward to seeing you Friday night!

  • The Hunter Safety Team Booster Club has scheduled the kick-off meeting Monday, September 11, 2017 at 6:30 in the auditorium.   Students and their parents who are interested in participating on the Hunter Safety Team are encouraged to attend.

  • Students wishing to park on campus must have a parking permit displayed on their vehicles by Monday, September 11.  The cost of the permit is $115.  Please see Ms. Glenda Rice in the Main Office to purchase a permit.

September 5, 2017

  • On Thursday, September 7, Seniors and their parents are invited to attend Senior Night in the auditorium at 6:00 pm.  Counselors and administrators will share information about postsecondary opportunities, the process for applying to colleges, and important senior dates.

  • Students wishing to park on campus this year should see Mrs. Glenda Rice in the Main Office to purchase a parking permit.  The cost of the permit is $115.  Parking permits should be purchased by Friday, September 8.

August 28, 2017

  • Monday will be the first day of school for the Wolfpack.  Students will go to their Homeroom/Advisory class at the beginning of the day where they will receive their schedules and other information for the new year.  Parents are reminded that the designated area for student drop off is in front of the school.  Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:00 am.

  • Students wishing to park on campus this year should see Mrs. Glenda Rice in the Main Office to purchase a parking permit.  The cost of the permit is $115.  Students must be cleared of any student debt in order to purchase a parking permit.

  • Yearbooks will be on sale for $40 until September 29th.  Please get yours today before the price increase!

  • Senior Ads for the Yearbook can be purchased at a discounted price of $125 for a full page ad until September 29th.  Please contact Mrs. Vera if you have any questions.

This message contains weekly announcements for Walkertown High School.  

  • Students wishing to park on campus should purchase a parking permit for the 2017-2018 year.  In order to purchase a permit, students must be clear of any school debt. The cost of a parking permit is $115.

  • On Wednesday, freshmen are invited to attend Orientation from 8:45 to 3:40.  Throughout the day, freshmen will participate in activities that will help them transition to high school.  Parents who want to learn more about Walkertown High School are invited to attend a parent meeting at either 9 am or 3 pm in the auditorium.

  • Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 pm, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to attend a floating Open House.  Students will receive a copy of their schedules and will be encouraged to locate their first semester classes and meet their teachers.

  • Please visit our school website for additional announcements about the upcoming year.

This message contains  weekly announcements from Walkertown High School.  In preparation for the first day of school which is August 28, several events have been scheduled to help our students be ready for the 2017-2018 year. 

  • On Wednesday, August 23, freshmen are invited to attend Freshmen Orientation from 8:45 to 3:40; students will participate in a variety of activities that will help them transition to high school.  Later that evening, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to attend a floating Open House from 6:30-8:30.  During Open House, students will receive their schedules and are invited to casually walk their schedules and meet their first semester teachers.
  • Students wishing to park on campus should purchase a parking permit for the 2017-2018 year.  In order to purchase a permit, students must be clear of any school debt. The cost for a parking permit is $115.  Parking permits may be purchased in the Main Office beginning Wednesday, August 16.
