Weekly Message 5/15/2020

Greetings this is a message from Dr. Bethea, Principal of Walkertown Elementary School. The following information can be found on the school’s website on the Principal’s Page.

  • Meal Pickup/Delivery Schedule over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.   Next Friday, one week from today, our free meal locations will distribute/deliver enough meals to families for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day Monday.  The cafeterias distributing food will be closed Monday for the holiday.  They will be reopen on Tuesday, 5/26 for meals Tuesday, and then they will be open again on Wednesday, 5/27. From Wednesday 5/27 on, they will go back to their normal schedule of Mon., Wed., Fri.  Please visit the District website to see the schedule.
  • Census 2020 – Our community/county continues to need participation in the Census.  Please  take a few minutes and get counted.  Having accurate numbers means we get the funding we need from the Federal Government for not only schools, but roads, and other areas that impact daily life.  2020census.gov is the place to go to get counted!

That’s it for now!  And as always thank you for being our partner in education!
