Walkertown High School and Walkertown Middle School students will have a remote learning day Thursday, May 1, due to ongoing fire cleanup.
A small fire happened on the high school side of the building Tuesday night. Cleanup crews have begun working to remove fire damaged items, clear out soot and clean the HVAC system to ensure good air quality. They need time to complete that work.
School staff will be reaching out directly to families regarding remote work plans. District leaders will update families about the schools’ schedules for the rest of the week tomorrow.
