Walkertown High School and Walkertown Middle School students will have another remote learning day Friday, May 2.
A small fire happened on the high school side of the building Tuesday night. Crews have been cleaning the duct work so that the air conditioning can be turned on. There will not be enough time to comfortably cool the full building for the school day Friday.
District officials are hopeful the work being done now will allow students and staff to come back in school next week. Families will receive an update on Sunday.
