Being a teacher is hard but rewarding work. It can also be extremely challenging, especially if you’re just starting out. Thanks to a private community donor, 210 first-year WS/FCS teachers were celebrated at the 2025 Beginning Teacher of Promise Awards, held at the Millenium Center in downtown Winston-Salem. Eight rookie teachers took home a monetary award of $1000 sponsored by Forsyth Educator Partnership.
