How WS/FCS Makes Weather Decisions
WS/FCS closely monitors weather and road conditions across the entire county.
Remember: even if your neighborhood looks safe, other areas may not be.
We aim to give families and staff advanced notice of closure decisions. Whenever possible, we will share information the evening before a closure.
How You’ll Learn About Schedule Changes
Changes will be posted on the WS/FCS website, official social media channels, and Cable 2.
Families will also receive text messages, robocalls, and emails.
Check that your contact information is current in Infinite Campus to ensure you receive notifications.
Banked Days & Remote Learning
WS/FCS has built extra "banked" days into the school calendar to accommodate weather-related closures. If schools closes, students should use the time to complete regular homework and read independently.
Once the extra time is exhausted, WS/FCS will implement a remote learning plan. Work will be sent home, and individual schools will provide detailed instructions.
