The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has appointed Paul Pressly to be the new principal of Reynolds High School.

Currently serving as an assistant principal at Reynolds, Pressly graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1997. He earned his Master of Executive Leadership degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2012. He previously worked as a chemistry teacher at Mount Tabor High School and as an assistant principal at Speas Elementary School before joining Reynolds in 2023.

Pressly is a two-time finalist for the WS/FCS Core Awards Assistant Principal of the Year award. During his time with the district, he has built a reputation for creating an uplifting atmosphere where every student feels empowered to succeed.

“Mr. Pressly brings positive energy and enthusiasm to the RJR school culture,” said Kevin Spainhour, WS/FCS’ area superintendent of secondary schools. “He will lead with authenticity and visibility to ensure the school community continues to thrive.”

Paul will begin his new role on July 1, 2026.
