The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has appointed Angela Reeves to be the new principal of Petree Elementary School.
Reeves joined WS/FCS in 2005 as a teacher at Union Cross Elementary School. She holds a Master of Educational Leadership degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education, both from High Point University.
She most recently served as principal of Sedge Garden Elementary School, where she led exceeded growth during the 2024–25 school year and built a culture focused on high expectations and student success. She has over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
“Angela Reeves has a proven track record of strong instructional leadership and sustained school improvement,” said Chief of Schools Dr. Timisha Barnes-Jones. “Angela brings deep expertise in developing teachers, strengthening school culture, and driving academic achievement.”
Reeves begins her new role on August 1.
