The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has decided to proceed with the search for an interim superintendent. The board made the decision at its meeting on Tuesday, August 25.

The interim superintendent will replace Dr. Don Phipps who is retiring on September 30. The board hopes to announce their choice by October 1. The person selected will serve until June 30, 2027.
