Jalesia Patterson, our 2026 WS/FCS Core Awards Teacher of the Year, was recognized on Friday, September 18 in front of a packed house at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium during the nationally televised Miami vs. Wake Forest football game. Jalesia was also honored as Wake Forest’s 2026 Extra Yard for Teachers representative, a program of the College Football Playoff Foundation. In recognition of her outstanding work, she received a one-thousand-dollar donors' choice gift card to support classroom resources.
