The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has approved Dr. Adreian Pitts as the new principal of Walkertown High School. She has been with WS/FCS since 2007. Dr. Pitts joined WS/FCS as a teacher at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy. She moved to R.J. Reynolds High School shortly afterwards. She currently serves as an assistant principal at Meadowlark Middle School, where her duties include providing informal and formal feedback, coaching instructors, and evaluating school data for effectiveness and school improvement. She worked as a North Carolina New Teacher Instructional Coach with both the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Appalachian State University, providing non-evaluative observations, weekly feedback, and goal setting support to beginning teachers as they navigated their first years as teachers. Dr. Pitts has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Winston-Salem State University. She also has master’s and doctoral degrees from Gardner-Webb University. @walkertownhswolfpack #wsfcs
