Good evening WS/FCS Students, Families and Staff,

In anticipation of inclement weather conditions, WS/FCS will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on Tuesday, December 9. Conditions will be re-evaluated in the morning to determine if a full closure is needed.

Students should arrive two hours later than the typical start of the school day. Career Center classes will be held according to the two-hour delay schedule listed on the school website: https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/o/cc/page/2025-2026-bell-schedule.

Essential staff should report when it is safe to do so. Employees who don’t have inclement weather response duties will report two hours later than normal if the report time is before the start of the instructional day. Other employees should start at their normal report time. For example, if an employee normally reports at 7 am, the employee would start at 9 am. If an employee's report time is 12 pm, they would report at the normal time.

Staff and families are urged to use caution and give themselves extra time to get to school and work in the morning. If you have any individual safety concerns, please call your school or supervisor for more information.
