Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of 39 students from seven high schools who have been selected to attend the highly competitive North Carolina Governor’s School this summer.
The Governor’s School of North Carolina is a four-week summer enrichment program that brings together some of the state’s most talented high school students. Through advanced coursework and collaborative learning experiences, students are allowed to explore academic disciplines in greater depth while connecting with peers from across the state.
Selection for Governor’s School is a rigorous process that recognizes academic performance, creativity, leadership, and a strong commitment to learning. Being chosen reflects the dedication and hard work these students have demonstrated throughout their academic careers.
The 39 selected students represent seven different high schools across Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, showcasing the depth of talent and academic excellence present throughout the district.
