Last Wednesday was a big day in Christopher Pegelow’s life. While the Carver junior was sitting in class at the Career Center, he was suddenly surprised by a big group of dignitaries that he was the winner of the 2025 Safe Sober T-Shirt Challenge, sponsored by attorneys at law Daggett Shuler. He received a 1000$ scholarship to support his future academic endeavors. WS/FCS Cable 2 Photojournalist Kevin Wrenn spoke with Pegelow afterwards and shares that while winning the competition is a big deal, his involvement with the whole idea of being safe and sober is felt on a personal level, and he would especially like to thank Carver High School for helping him turn his life around for the better.
